Children's Board oversees our Sunday School program for children in preschool through 8th grade. Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m., during worship service. Students in 9th and 10th grade attend Confirmation classes led by the minister.

Congregation Council is the governing body of the church, responsible only to the congregation. It consists of 15 voting members and is chaired by the church Moderator.

Diaconate Board tends to the spiritual needs of the congregation. Members assist with communion and baptism sacraments. The board also communicates with church members who are ill, shut-in or in bereavement by sending personal notes and cards.

Growth & Membership board has the dual purpose of reaching out to prospective new members for the church and providing programs and activities for existing members, including day trips, outings, dinners, and special Lenten programs.

Mission & Outreach Board distributes funds to various charities both within our community and nationally. It also promotes educational programs and provides mission speakers for the congregation.

Music Board sponsors three adult choral groups, a Junior Youth Choir, and an English hand bell ensemble. In addition to performing during worship services, music groups present special concerts, cantatas and programs throughout the year. The Chancel Choir has also sung at nursing homes and has participated in choir exchanges with other churches.

Property Board provides for the maintenance of the church building and grounds, as well as the church-owned parsonage. Most board members have experience or specific skills in areas such as landscaping, building maintenance, steam heating systems, utilities, woodworking and mechanical repair. This is a “hands-on” board that contracts only those jobs it can't personally complete. Recently, members of the “Wednesday Work Crew” were recipients of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce “Community Enhancement Award” for outdoor improvements to the church and its grounds.

Youth Board oversees the PF (Pilgrim Fellowship) and Jr. PF groups for high school and middle school students. The PF sponsors social, spiritual, service and educational events for the youth of our church and community. Each summer a weeklong trip is planned, alternating between a service trip to assist with residents of the Duvall Home for Special Needs in Florida and a canoe trip to the boundary waters in Canada.
